As a self-proclaimed muddy princess, I was looking forward to getting down and dirty with the Ground Zero Adventures team – and boy did they not disappoint!

From paintballing to water-rafting, Ground Zero Adventures has professional adrenaline pumping adventures to make lasting memories. With walkie-talkies at the ready, the extensive crew made sure our activities seamlessly flowed one-after-the-other, ending off with a cold drink and a warm burger with a view. With such an efficient system, it is easy to see how they are able to accommodate large groups of school visits and corporate team building trips.

As an exciting alternative to the traditional date-night, I tried the hour-long quad biking and dirt track go-karting. What was most apparent from the get-go was the ease of access of finding Ground Zero, located in Lanseria, South Africa, just 40mins from my home.

In the manicured, controlled environment of Johannesburg, immersing myself in nature was a welcome change. With each activity I felt my senses heighten as I skidded, raced, drifted and swirled through the track.

The scenic quad trail lead by a Ground Zero team member was easily manageable, yet had a few exciting twists and turns to keep the adrenaline pumping.

The go-karting was the highlight of the day, with a few warm up laps and then an official head-on race with each member of my group. With emergency care at the ready and every effort to keep the activities safe, I could release my inner daredevil without fear.

After a sun-soaked and fun-filled afternoon, our happy muddied-faces returned home with the knowledge that we had experienced the best in outdoor fun!
bye for now
